This Privacy Policy explains how Just Look! (“the App”) and the website at justlook.pro (“the Website”) handle information.
Summary
Just Look! is designed to work with your files on your Mac. We do not operate a cloud photo service, and the App does not upload your images or folders to our servers.
Information the App Does Not Collect
The App does not:
- collect your photos, videos, filenames, or folder contents for transmission to us;
- require an account or login to us;
- include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs;
- include third-party crash-reporting services that send data to us.
Information Stored on Your Device
To provide its features, the App stores data locally on your Mac, including:
- App preferences — settings such as window placement, sort order, and launch options.
- Security-scoped bookmarks — references to folders you choose to open, so the App can reopen them with your permission.
- Thumbnail cache — locally generated previews to speed up browsing.
- Organization metadata — star ratings, Finder color tags, picks, and similar data written to your image files or stored in App preferences, depending on the feature.
- Pro trial state — a trial start date stored in the macOS Keychain and, if you are signed into iCloud on your Mac, in your iCloud Key-Value Store. This is used only to manage the 30-day Pro trial period. No photos or personal profile data are stored there.
All image viewing, comparison, culling, export, and organization happens on your device.
File Access and Permissions
Just Look! is sandboxed and requests access only to folders and files you choose to open. The App may also request permission to access removable volumes or network volumes you select. This access is used solely to display, organize, export, or modify the files you work with in the App.
Apple Services
If you purchase Just Look! Pro, payment and subscription management are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple may provide us with purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features, subject to Apple’s own privacy policy.
Children’s Privacy
The App and Website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
